TryHackMe hosts a themed Christmas event every year that helps with teaching basic cyber security principles and the use of common tools. Advent of Cyber 2025 ran from 1 December 2025 to 25 December 2025 and had a number of raffle prizes for those who participated in this period. While the event is now finished, the rooms (which were released daily) are still accessible and can be attempted.
This year’s story involves a key member of the cyber security team going missing and the king of Easter island taking advantage. The team at TryHackMe put a fair bit of work into the theme and story, its well worth attempting it just for the story.
