About Me

This blog is a simple effort to show the work I’m doing to improve my cyber security related skills with occasional diversions into related topics. In addition to the practical activities I’m undertaking, I’m trying to improve my writing skills by practicing documenting and communicating things I’ve done so others can understand them easily. Hopefully this will help other practitioners in their own journeys.

My usual tag is sleepyblinky, which is the source for the domain name.

Who am I?

I’m a cyber security professional based in Canberra, Australia, with several years of experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), complemented by exposure to blue team operations. While my professional background has focused on security governance, risk management, and assurance, I am actively developing my technical skills across a range of cyber security disciplines.

This website documents my practical learning journey and serves as a portfolio of the labs, projects, and research I undertake to build hands-on experience. It is intended to demonstrate my progression, problem-solving approach, and commitment to continuous learning.

My interests span digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, network security, web application security, and vulnerability research. I enjoy exploring how these disciplines intersect and applying what I learn through practical exercises and real-world scenarios.
